Open-source software
E-signing in Groundwork, and where its source code is.
Electronic signing in Groundwork is provided by EsignCenter, a service we operate ourselves. EsignCenter is our modified version of DocuSeal, an open-source document-signing application. The signing screens are served by EsignCenter, which is why they carry a “Powered by DocuSeal” line and a link to the source.

Getting the source
The complete source code of the version of EsignCenter we run is public at github.com/ACED-DevTeam/EsignCenter. Anyone can read it or download it there; no account is needed.
Our modified version is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3, with additional terms under Section 7(b) of that license: the original DocuSeal attribution must be kept in interactive user interfaces. The license that applies is the one in the repository — its LICENSE file together with LICENSE_ADDITIONAL_TERMS. The standard AGPLv3 text, without those additional terms, is at www.gnu.org/licenses/agpl-3.0.html.
What this page covers
This page is about EsignCenter. The rest of Groundwork is separate software that works with EsignCenter through EsignCenter’s API: it sends documents out for signature and files the signed copies back into the lender’s workspace.
